We believe that the Bible, consisting of both the Old and New Testaments, is the authoritative Word of God, inspired, infallible, and inerrant in the original writings.
We believe that the God who is revealed in the Bible, is the personal, transcendent, and sovereign Creator of the universe including all things visible and invisible.
We believe that the God who is revealed in the Bible, is one in essence while eternally existent in three distinct but co-equal persons — Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
We believe that Jesus Christ is both fully God and fully human, that He was born of a virgin, that He lived a sinless life, that His substitutionary death on the cross atoned for the sins of all who would believe in Him, that He was bodily resurrected from the dead, that He ascended back to the right hand of the Father in Heaven, that He ever lives to make intercession for us, and that He will one day return to earth to judge the living and the dead.
We believe that after Jesus ascended to Heaven, He poured out the Holy Spirit on His church, enabling them to fulfill His command to preach the Gospel to the entire world, an obligation shared by all believers today.
We believe that all people are, by nature, alienated from God and responsible for their own sin, but that salvation, redemption, and forgiveness are freely offered to all by the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ.
We believe that when a person repents of sin and accepts Jesus Christ as personal Savior and Lord, trusting Him to save, that person is immediately born again and sealed by the Holy Spirit, all his or her sins are forgiven, and that person becomes a child of God, destined to spend eternity with the Lord.
We believe in the ongoing ministry of the Holy Spirit by whose indwelling the believer is enabled to overcome the power of sin, to grow in grace and the knowledge of the Lord Jesus, and to live a life that is pleasing to God in all respects.
We believe that every Christian must appear before the judgment seat of Christ to be recompensed for the things done in the body of Christ, whether good or bad. We do not believe that a Christian will suffer condemnation for sin at this judgment because all the believer’s sin was atoned for by Jesus on the cross.
We believe that one day, all the unbelieving and unrepentant dead of all ages will suffer the wrath and revelation of the righteous judgment of God against their sin. This final judgment is the ultimate penalty for sin — eternal separation from God. Therefore, knowing the fear of the Lord, we strive to persuade all men that there is no hope for them apart from the salvation found in Christ alone.
We believe our worship of God should be —
· Spiritual, therefore we seek to live our lives by the enabling power of the Holy Spirit.
· Fruitful, therefore we look for His unconditional love flowing from our lives as being the
supreme evidence that we have been worshipping Him.
· Inspirational, therefore we give great place to music and singing in our services and meetings.
· Intelligent, therefore we place great emphasis on the teaching of the Word of God.
We believe that our worship of God must be according to Truth. Therefore, we view God’s Word, the Bible, as being our final authority for faith and practice.
We believe and hold to the "essential" Christian doctrines which are agreed upon by all born-again believers. However, we recognize there are some doctrines which are not universally agreed upon by all believers. We allow for a wide range of opinion on such non-essentials and would not break off fellowship with other believers over these issues. We do not wish to cause division within the Body of Christ but desire to maintain the unity of believers as a witness to the world.
We believe some gifts of the Holy Spirit mentioned in the Bible are valid for today and they should be exercised within Scriptural guidelines. As believers, we should desire the best gifts and seek to exercise them so that the whole body of Christ might be edified. We believe that love is more important than any spiritual gift and without this love all exercise of spiritual gifts is unprofitable.
We believe in the rapture of the church, and the personal, visible, and pre-millennial second coming of Jesus Christ to the earth when He will return with His saints and establish His kingdom of which there will be no end.
We believe that the church is the pillar and ground of the truth and is God’s instrument in the world today to proclaim the good news of salvation in Jesus Christ.
We believe that the proclamation of Jesus must be in both word and deed.
We believe that Christians should do good to all men but especially to the household of faith. We do not believe the primary mission of the church is to be an instrument of social or political change to reform society or make unbelievers behave in a righteous manner.
